Piedmont House is located at 1800 Monticello Avenue, Charlottesville, VA 22902, PH (434) 971-3835, and accessible by taking Route 20 South from the City of Charlottesville or Exit 121B off Interstate 64. Official visits from the Virginia Department of Corrections, law enforcement, fire and health officials and other similar agency personnel are welcome at any time.
Resident visiting hours are as follows:
Monday – Friday from 6:00 PM until 10:00 PM. Saturday – Sunday from 9:00 AM until 9:00 PM.

To accommodate residents who may be working evening or night shifts, Resident Counselors may use discretion in allowing visits to such residents outside of usual visiting hours.

NOTE: Those visiting residents must produce picture identification such as a driver’s license and sign in and out at the Business Office with a Resident Counselor. Areas of the grounds where residents and their visitors can meet are restricted to the outside grounds, the front porch and the living room. Residents and their visitors are not permitted to sit in vehicles or access any other part of the main house or other buildings. All vehicles and persons visiting residents are subject to search as are their vehicles. Visitors may be asked to leave or banned from the grounds if found to be disruptive to the good order of Piedmont House or if some unforeseen circumstance arises. All visitors and their vehicles are subject to search.
